Touchscreen installation on cycling route PIT 2011
2011, Presentation of Moving Landscape

Moving Landscape was presented from 5 June to 30 September 2011 during PIT, an outdoor project mounted by z33 in Hasselt in the Belgian province of Limburg. PIT was launched in a former Syrup Factory in Borgloon on 5 June. The starting point for the cycling route was the Borgloon Tourist Information Office.

Moving Landscape, which featured in PIT as a touch-screen installation, showed six locations in Limburg where the land was worked: a potato field in Vroenhoven, a gravel pit in Dilsen-Stokkem, grazing heath in Helchteren, nature management on a slag heap in Genk, sand suckers in Lommel and an apple orchard in Borgloon. It showed the products from the primary industry being processed and heading off on a journey to the consumer. In 2010 Wapke Feenstra followed the processors and products of this constantly moving landscape, presenting her observations in a series of photos. The geology of the six locations was incorporated in animations. You can see Moving Landscape on location or in your own home at www.movinglandscape.be
